FLY: The fastest and easiest way is to travel to Norfolk Virginia is by air. As of Sunday Morning, there are still good flights from Newark and JFK for $238.00 round trip, non-stop. I checked this on kayak.com

Drive: The drive to Norfolk from the New York area takes about 7 hours. Here is a link for driving directions to the Marriott Norfolk waterside

Amtrak: Its a two stage ride … Penn station to Newport News and then an Amtrak bus from newport news to Norfolk … about 10 hours … Amtrak

The Bus:

Irene & I realize the inconvenience of traveling 7 hours by car and the expense of flying to Norfolk so we have been looking into hiring a bus for the weekend for those who would find it convenient. The bus would make two stops in our area, say one stop in Stamford, Ct and one in New City, NY or New York City or wherever was convenient for the majority of those taking the bus. The round trip cost of the bus would be $100 per adult, $50.00 per college age student and free for high school age and below. The bus would drive down some time on Friday mid-day or whatever time is best for the majority and return on Sunday starting at about 12 noon. It will be available for us to go to and from the hotel and the church on Sunday and perhaps for a trip to Virginia Beach on Saturday AM.

I am putting a deposit on the Bus this week and need to know how many people are really interested in taking this choice in the next two weeks.

So please email us at magicbus@visskelly.com. Or just sign up at Magic Bus SIgn-up

Let me know how many people and their ages, etc. so that I can make the arrangements.
